Currently I have to restart steam in offline mode to avoid an update and keep my mods working. Is this for that crappy VR?

I don't even have VROnly crappy vr since You dont own any vr hardware many of us welcome skyrim to the best immersion gaming available to date. You sound like the salty ones who wanted SE for free without filling the prerequisites or were 12 months too late.STEAM not Bethesda is the reason for auto updates and is easy to fix by starting skyrim in a mod organizer or else launcher.I guess that's too hard to fathom though.

    Skyrim No Steam Crack

Set up a nexus account download and install the nexus mod manager (this will automaticly manage the mods for various games including skyrim). Brows for whatever skyrim mod you want on the nexus site (the first link) and install them with the mod manager(there will be a button to either download manually or install with manager). The mod manager will do the rest, also read the instructions that come with both the mod manager and mod itself (it not complicated though). 99% of the mods available for skyrim will be on this site, nexus also have mods for other games to. It works with the non Steam version as I also use it. Hope that helps. His post is the best way. I agree its not the best way to do it but it is the easiest and thats what was asked for, yes you do need the SKSE with some mods but like i mentioned, read the instructions the come with the various mods, the links a for extra files ect are usually in there. Agreed also some mods do not work with mod manager but a lot do. I personally have a couple of overhaul mods for skyrim that dont use the manager but all the others I use do.
